Students (and teachers) joined in the science fun during our Science Week celebrations. The theme of National Science Week this year was Seeds of Science: Nurturing Knowledge and many of the activities linked to this theme. Lunchtime activities included making seedbombs filled with native flower seeds, growing crystals and playing with science toys. Students also enjoyed an explosive Cosmic Chemistry incursion where they learnt about the origins of the universe. Every day, classes were sent a news spot with quirky stories and little activities about science. 

The highlight of our science week has been the Class Tomato Competition. Every class was provided with a tomato seedling to nurture until the end of term 3 and there has been stiff competition among students and teachers to claim the top prize. The class with the tallest plant on the last day of term will win a pizza party early next term (tomato pizzas, of course!)
