Making a Sacrament of Initiation

The Parish is responsible for offering Sacraments of Initiation for parishioners, including the Catholic students at St Thomas The Apostle.

The Sacramental program runs each year and children who are the appropriate age (or older) are invited to enrol through notifications sent in the school newsletter and email. Parents sign their child up and commit to attending formation sessions and a workshop.

What age can my child make a Sacrament?

Baptism can occur at any age. Please contact the Parish Office to discuss.

If your child is Baptised they can make the other Sacraments at the following year levels (or above)

Reconciliation - Year 3

First Holy Communion - Year 4

Confirmation - Year 6

Special sacramental celebrations will happen for some year levels with the parish on weekends. All families are welcome to attend and support classmates who may be making a Sacrament
