Weekend Activities

Friday evening was spent around the fire pit, while others watched the footy. Saturday morning took us to Eaton Fair, followed by a walk along the Derbal Elaap Jetty in Australind, before returning for lunch.

On Saturday afternoon, staff lit a bonfire near the staff houses using a tree that had come down in the last storm. Students then enjoyed spending the afternoon and evening around the fire.

Sports

Monday saw the hockey team compete in the grand final in Collie. In a very close game, they fell just short, going down by one goal. It was great to see a large contingent of students and staff supporting our team. Well done to everyone involved.

Congratulations to Kate Power on being named Runner-up Fairest and Best. 

Tuesday featured the grand final of the town netball competition, and in another hard-fought game, our girls were victorious by just three goals. Once again, staff and students gave great support. To Sparky for great coaching. It was a fantastic result.

Illness Around the College

This week, we have once again seen a number of students absent with cold and flu symptoms. We ask those students who are still on campus to continue practising good hygiene habits, including covering coughs and sneezes, washing their hands regularly, and using hand sanitiser when entering the dining room. These simple steps can help reduce the spread of germs and keep our College community healthy.

Student Drivers

Can I take this opportunity to remind our student drivers of the 20 km/h speed limit within the College grounds? This week, a couple of students have lost their good standing due to excessive speed and, as a result, their privilege of having a vehicle on site.

With many inexperienced drivers coming and going from the College during peak times, all drivers, including staff, must adhere to the 20 km/h speed limit. Following this limit helps keep everyone safe on our grounds.
