Library News

International Women's Day
Sunday, March 6th was International Women’s Day, and to celebrate, the library showcased a selection of books highlighting the achievements, stories, and voices of women from around the world. The display featured a diverse range of titles — from inspiring biographies and thought‑provoking non-fiction to powerful fiction and poetry.
If you missed the display, many of the featured books are still available for borrowing. We invite you to drop in, discover something new, and continue celebrating women’s contributions to literature, culture, and history.
If you have recommendations for future displays or would like to suggest a title, we’d love to hear from you!
Harmony Day
Harmony Day is celebrated on March 20th, and it’s a wonderful reminder that everyone belongs. The day encourages inclusiveness, respect, and an appreciation of the many cultures that help make Australia such a vibrant and unique place.
To recognise Harmony Day, the library created a special display featuring a diverse range of books that share stories, experiences, and traditions from cultures around the world. The collection highlighted voices from many backgrounds, offering readers the chance to discover new perspectives and celebrate our community’s rich cultural diversity.
