General news

BABY NEWS:

Congratulations to Mrs Charlotte Laurence and her husband Tim on the birth of their 5th child Freddie, born on Thursday 9th May. May God's  blessings be with them.

PLAYGROUND NEWS:

Some students are playing roughly and at times certain games will be banned from year groups until the rules can be followed and students can play safely.  Please talk to your children about obeying the rules, not changing them throughout thegame so it is fair and safe. This is for student safety. The children have many other alternatives including handball, running games, passive play and a multitude of lunch clubs which they can join. We are looking into using another space near the Presbytery which will allow for ball games but are ensuring it is well prepared before we begin using it.

MORNING DROP OFF:

If your child is dropped off before the bell and the gate is not open they must go and wait outside the office area to avoid congestion on the road. They will be let in via the office gate at 8:20am. This is for students who may arrive 10 minutes or so before the bell (after 8.10am). Before school care is available for students who arrive earlier.

Walk Safely To School Day:

Thank you to everyone's involvement in National Walk Safely To School Day. We love to see our children being active within our community. We hope our students learnt something about road and pedestrian safety.

100 Year Celebrations

Attention parents, ex-students, parishioners and all those who may have had a connection to our school or parish, we are looking to collect photos or any memorabilia that would help us show the evolving history of our school and parish.

There has been a changing face to the people, the buildings, the uniforms, just to name a few areas!

If you can help us put together a 'centenary' presentation by contributing whatever you have (photos, videos, even old uniforms, schoolbags, books), we would be really appreciative.

Please make sure everything you send in has your name and contact number on it very clearly (we will be very careful to get these back to you), with ATTENTION  Mrs Cameron  and it will come to me.

If you have any photographs or information that can be sent via email, please send to margaret.cameron@syd.catholic.edu.au

It should be fun to present a wonderful collection of images and items that show how our school and Parish has evolved!!
