Artwork
This term we have been working on some pumpkins. We had to blend them together so the colours would look like it had a gradient effect on the pumpkins. We have also been drawing a black cat with yellow eyes on top of the pumpkin to add a bit of character. We also made some other pumpkins that were very spotty and had little circles between the spots. All the pumpkins had outlines that we had drawn on by sharpie. We didn't have to colour these pumpkins because the paper was already orange or yellow.

Leo and Ralph
This term we have been reading a book called Leo and Ralph and it’s about a boy who couldn’t fit in and loves aliens . It's a good book to read if you're looking for a book about fitting in and making friends.
Description: Leo and Ralph have been best friends ever since Ralph flew down from “Ralphora”, one of Jupiter’s moons. But now Leo is older, and Mum and Dad think it’s time to say goodbye to Ralph. When the family moves to a small country , they hope Leo might finally make a real friend . But someone like Ralph is hard to leave behind… Will they be best friends forever? Or will Leo leave Ralph behind?

What's been happening and what we are looking forward to this term
This term, we have been looking forward to our spring concert. We have been preparing for it all year with groups from our school like drama, dance club, choir and, of course, marimba group.
We have been working so hard to make the spring concert come to life. The students have been practising all the things they are going to perform for us to enjoy. Rock band will also be performing the song “We Will Rock You”.
We will do the Acknowledgement of Country at the beginning of the spring concert. There will be drama acts throughout the concert. Some will be at the start, some in the middle and some at the end. We will also announce the Archibald Prize winners and give special mentions to the artworks that caught the judges’ eyes.
This year in Week 8, we are going to Blue Lagoon Camp, which we are looking forward to. Since we were told, we have not stopped talking about it! There are trampolines, rock climbing walls and a giant swing. The giant swing looks scary, but I think it looks fun.
