John Paul II Feast Day and Socktober Fundraiser
On Wednesday of Week 1, our students enjoyed a special day to celebrate the Feast Day of St John Paul II, our school patron and spiritual guide.
The day began with a beautiful Liturgy in the church, led by Fr Kasun. Students then participated in some fun activities in their house teams with their Buddy Groups.
Activities included Kicking Goals for Good and Ball Games using special sock balls made by our Grade 3 students, the Fill the Bucket Challenge, an Obstacle Course and a Rock Your Socks Off Dance Party! We had a BBQ for lunch and then we had a special Feast Day surprise with an ice cream from the Mr Whippy van! Such fun and yumminess was had by us all!
A huge thank you to Fr Kasun, our student leaders from Grades 5 & 6, our beautiful staff who supported students and helped lead activities and an extra special thank you to Mr Hutchins for organising the ice cream van. We are so grateful to you all and consider ourselves very blessed here at our beautiful little school.
Catholic Mission Mass
On Wednesday, students from our Mission Team attended the Children’s Mass for Catholic Mission. It was a beautiful ceremony, presided over by Archbishop Tony Ireland and Fr Kasun. Our students represented our school exceptionally well, participating in the liturgy with reverence and prayerfulness.
Thank you to Melisa for bringing forward a symbol of learning for the people of Malawi and to Ella for receiving a Catholic Mission candle on behalf of our school.
