CLEVER CLASS

On Wednesday 21 October, our John Paul II community came together to celebrate our John Paul II Feast Day and Socktober Fundraiser! It was a wonderful day filled with faith, fun, friendship and opportunities to put our school values into action.

The day began with a whole-school liturgy in the church, bringing our community together in prayer and reflection. Our Year 5 buddies did an amazing job to support us in the church.

Students enjoyed a range of exciting rotations throughout the day, including ball games, Kicking Goals for Good, the Fill the Bucket Challenge, an obstacle course relay, the Rock Your Socks Off Just Dance Disco and the JPII Puzzle Challenge. There was plenty of energy, teamwork and laughter as students participated in the activities and cheered one another on!

A highlight of our day was enjoying an ice cream from the Mr Whippy van!

Our Feast Day celebrations also supported Socktober, a Catholic Mission initiative that raises awareness and funds to support children living in poverty around the world. Through our participation, we were reminded of the importance of compassion, generosity and looking beyond ourselves to help others.

We are now creating our own colourful, crazy-sock collages to continue celebrating Socktober and reflecting on how even small acts of kindness can make a difference.
