2026 Religious Education Symposium - Inspired by faith: Journeying to Excellence

This week, Caitlin O’Donnell and I attended the Melbourne Archdiocese Catholic Schools (MACS) 2026 Religious Education Symposium, Inspired by Faith: Journeying to Excellence. This inspiring event brought together educators from across Melbourne to explore innovative approaches to Religious Education and prepare for the implementation of the new RE curriculum.

Throughout the symposium, we learned from leading national and international experts and gathered practical ideas that connect faith, culture, tradition and social justice with contemporary classroom learning. We look forward to sharing these insights with our staff and students as we continue to nurture both faith and learning across our school community.

Grandparents and Special Friends Day 2026

St Michael's School will celebrate Grandparents and Special Friends Day on Friday 7th August, 2026.

We would like to create a Google Slide presentation using photos of the students with their grandparents and special friends. The presentation will be included in our Prayer Liturgy on Friday 7th August.

Let us pray for the respect and protection of human life in all its stages, recognizing it as a gift from God.
