🪩 Tonight's the Night - SKiPPS School Disco! ✨
We can't wait to welcome our students and families to what promises to be a fantastic night of music, dancing and fun at the 2026 SKiPPS School Disco!
By now, all students attending should have received a brown paper bag sent home from school containing their entry wristband (and photobooth wristband if one was purchased).
If you haven't received your child's wristband, or there are any issues with your order, please contact the Fundraising Committee at skipps.fundraising@gmail.com or speak to one of our volunteer parents at the entry desk when you arrive at onesixone this evening.
A few important reminders before you head out:
- Please make sure your child is wearing their entry wristband (and orange photobooth wristband if they purchased one).
- Doors will open at the advertised session times. We recommend arriving a little early as there may be queues on entry.
- We encourage families to use public transport where possible.
- Every student will receive a complimentary slice of pizza during the evening.
- If you're waiting while siblings attend the alternate session, we've reserved the beer garden at the High Street Hotel (just a few doors from onesixone), where a family-friendly movie will be playing on the screens.
- Sign up to The Pass app to receive $10 off your bill, then enter the code SKIPPS10 for an additional 10% discount.
A huge thank you to our incredible Fundraising Committee and the many volunteers who have put so much time and effort into making tonight possible.

Lunch Orders – Final call for Sushi!
This term SKiPPA and our parent volunteers are offering Lasagne Wednesdays (lasagne orders now closed) and Sushi Fridays with both programs starting next week for 7 weeks.
Sushi orders will run on Fridays beginning 31st July until 11th September.
Orders close Tuesday 28th July. No orders can be taken after this date for Term 3.

Thank You, Jacqui!
Today we will be saying a temporary farewell to Jacqui Ray, our wonderful TeamKids Director of Service, who is taking on the Director role at Caulfield Junior College to cover a maternity leave position for the remainder of the year.
Since joining SKiPPS, Jacqui has made an enormous contribution to both the TeamKids program and our wider school community. She has built genuine, caring relationships with students, families and staff, creating an Outside School Hours Care program that is welcoming, engaging and full of fun. Her calm, kind and organised approach has made what is often a very demanding role look effortless, and she has been a trusted and valued member of our school community.
While we will certainly miss seeing Jacqui around SKiPPS each morning and afternoon, we are incredibly excited for this opportunity and know she will do a fantastic job in her new role.
On behalf of our entire school community, we thank Jacqui for everything she has contributed to SKiPPS over the past few years and wish her every success for the remainder of 2026. We look forward to welcoming her back to St Kilda Park Primary School at the beginning of the 2027 school year.
Rub Club: World Cup Edition
Following the World Cup Final earlier this week, this Friday feel free to wear your soccer kit to Run Club! We will be listening to a playlist of soccer anthems to celebrate the world game.
A reminder that Run Club is on every Friday morning on school days. Kids run laps each week, and get certificates at assembly for milestones.
Meet us at the pavilion on the oval, 8am-8:45am. Grown ups welcome to run laps too (but just for bragging rights) or just enjoy the tunes and a catch-up.
A heads up that there will be some sweet treats involved (*vegan and gluten-free options available).
Victorian State Cross Country
On 16th July, Katerina Cotter (5M) represented SKiPPS in the Victorian State Cross Country. She put in a fantastic effort on the day to place 56th out of 92 girls.

Chicken helpers needed!
As always, we are asking our wonderful community to support us this term by signing up to help look after our four friendly and happy chickens.
You will be required to check in on the chickens, collect the eggs, top up food and water, remove manure and replace hay. This should take 15 minutes maximum. However, you are welcome to hang out and relax with the chickens if you would like. They do enjoy spending time out of the coop so please let them them roam and lock them back up before you leave.
If you think you can help out, please click on the link below to sign up for one or more days during the term.
Please get in touch with Allison to complete a training session before or after school to show you where the equipment is kept and how to access the coop.
There are also instructions inside the chicken house. These have been updated so please read carefully for any changes.
Each day you volunteer you get to keep the eggs you collect. There should be 4 per day. They tend to lay in the afternoon.
