Strengthening Home and School Partnerships 

Effective communication between home and school is vital to supporting every student's growth and wellbeing. Thank you to all the families who are attending our upcoming Family Conferences. These conversations are crucial for reflecting on learning progress and setting shared goals. If you were unable to attend but would like to connect with your child’s teachers, please reach out to us. You can arrange a time by phoning the Front Office or by emailing teachers directly through Compass.

Planning for 2027 and Enrolment Updates: Planning for the 2027 school year is already well underway. Last Thursday, we were delighted to welcome 72 bright new Kindergarten students for their transition morning. Due to high demand, we now have a waiting list for Kindergarten 2027, and several other year groups across the school are close to capacity. To assist us with accurate class planning and staffing for next year, we kindly ask any families whose children will not be continuing at HTS in 2027 to notify the school office as soon as possible.

Hosting Armidale Catholic Schools Leadership: This Wednesday and Thursday, Holy Trinity School is proud to host the Armidale Catholic Schools Principal meeting and the Armidale Catholic Schools Board meeting. The Board is visiting Inverell specifically to see firsthand how our expansion into Stage 6 is progressing and to observe the exciting opportunities being created for our senior students. Please note that parking around the school grounds may be tighter than usual on Thursday while we accommodate our visiting guests. We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause during pickup and drop-off times.

Focus on Respectful Speech Over the past week and continuing into the next fortnight, our whole-school pastoral focus centres on speaking respectfully. We are placing renewed emphasis on the daily importance of good manners, courteous speech, and kindness. We are reminding students that our words carry weight—words can hurt, and as a Catholic community, we are called to be mindful of how we speak to and treat one another every day. We appreciate your support in reinforcing these values at home.

Annual School Survey – We Value Your Feedback!

It is that time of year again where we are seeking family feedback. The annual School Survey will be emailed to families on Monday 24 August and will close on Wednesday 2 September.

Each year, we gather feedback from all staff, families, and students from Year 4 to Year 11. We use this vital information to help guide our annual improvement planning.

P and F Uniform Swap Date

As we come closer to the option of wearing the summer uniform on September 1, the P and F are preparing for another uniform swap. Save the Date Tuesday 25 August on the Front Lawn.

Supporting Our School Community in Times of Need

Over the last few weeks, several families in our school community have experienced the heartbreaking loss of loved ones. Please keep the Peterson and Uebergang families in your thoughts and prayers during this difficult time.

I would also like to commend our secondary students, who demonstrated exceptional care, compassion, and reverence during last week's assembly as we prayed for those navigating these hardships. It is inspiring to see our young people look beyond themselves to offer kindness and support to others, and we are immensely proud of the thoughtful, empathetic community they continue to build.
