Grade 3/4/5

It has been a busy first three weeks back at school, with many more exciting weeks still to come!
In Literacy, we have continued reading and exploring our class novel, The Iron Man. Students have been learning how to write an information report and have investigated how iron is mined and manufactured into steel.
In Maths, we have just completed another unit on multiplication and division. We have now started learning about angles, including how to identify and name acute, obtuse and right angles.
In Humanities, we have been learning about Australia and comparing it with other places around the world. We have also been identifying and exploring natural and constructed features.
We have a busy few weeks ahead. Monday, 3 August is a student-free day. From Tuesday, our class will also have a student teacher joining us for 35 days. Her name is Kellie Mitchell, and this is her final placement before becoming a qualified teacher. Kellie will gradually take on a significant amount of teaching during her placement, so please make her feel welcome!
