Dear Community Members,

This term is a particularly significant one for our Year 10 students. They have already completed Transition Week and a week of work experience, both of which provided valuable insight into life beyond the classroom. More recently, our senior students hosted a question-and-answer session, offering firsthand perspectives on the expectations and opportunities of Years 11 and 12. We are currently conducting individual pathways planning sessions, where each student meets with a member of our pathways team to map out their options for the coming years. Our goal is to ensure that every student leaves MacKillop with a clear and purposeful pathway, along with a strong foundation for a successful and fulfilling future.

We were saddened to hear of the recent passing of Fr Michael Tate. For a number of years, Fr Michael visited the College annually to speak with our senior students. His presentations invited students to reflect on the wonder of creation and their place within it, offering a thoughtful and at times challenging perspective on faith and life. Beyond these visits, he also quietly advocated for some of the more disadvantaged students in our MacKillop community. We are grateful for the time he shared with our students and for the care he showed to those most in need. Go Gently Father Michael.
