This term, we’re running Year 7 and 8 clinics during classes, along with Friday lunchtime games for all Year 7 and 8 students—boys and girls are welcome to join in the fun!
Division Cross Country
Mary MacKillop Catholic Regional College achieved remarkable success at the recent Division Cross Country, taking first place in both the Junior Girls and Senior Girls categories. Our boys also performed strongly, securing second place in the Junior and Senior Boys categories, and third place in the Intermediate Girls and Boys categories.
These strong performances contributed to an impressive first-place finish in the Girls Aggregate, a third-place finish in the Boys Aggregate, and an overall first-place finish in the Grand Aggregate.
Well done to all students who participated—these are outstanding results, and we are proud of you all!

Intermediate Soccer
Today, our Intermediate Boys soccer team had a fantastic day on the field, winning all their games and progressing to Regionals. They recorded impressive victories with scores of 9–0, 5–1, and 2–0 in the grand final.
The Intermediate Girls faced strong competition throughout the day, but their coaches were highly impressed with the determination and improvement they showed in each game.
Well done to both teams on a great day of sport!
Student Achievement
Congratulations to Year 8 student Gemma Cook, who recently competed at the National Championships, achieving a personal best in the Girls’ 12–13 Year Old MC 50m Freestyle. Gemma placed third, earning her first national bronze medal.
Her performance also qualified her for the Swimming Victoria Performance Pathways Program – Emerging Abilities Squad, a program designed to support the development of talented swimmers across Victoria.
Well done, Gemma, on this significant achievement.
