Harmony Day

On Monday 23 March we celebrated Harmony Day. The children were encouraged to dress in their cultural clothes and/or wear orange. Harmony Day is an annual celebration of multiculturalism focusing on inclusiveness, respect, and the message that "everyone belongs".
The 5/6 Cyber Action lead brilliant classes for both P-2 and 3-6 grades. The P-2 read a fantastic book called Whoever You Are by Mem Fox and completed a Harmony Day Quilt. The 3-6s read the great book The Boy Who Wanted to Shrink his Name by Sandhya Parappukkaran and designed they own mini mes focusing on their own unique culture.
