DAREBIN COUNCIL CONSULTATION PROCESS

Darebin Council is running a consultation process in our community known as “Your Street, Your Say”.    Your Street, Your Say is all about improving local streets and neighbourhoods for people who live, work, study, play or travel through Darebin.   Council would like community members to share their feedback and ideas about walking, cycling, scooting, driving and playing so we can help make it better for everyone.

 The final stage of the consultation process focuses on parts of Kingsbury, East Reservoir and East Preston.

Please note the survey closes on 20 December 2024.

Council would love to see as many residents engage with this survey so they can get an accurate snapshot of the needs of the community.

Council would encourage you to consider any issues relevant to the survey as a school community and respond to the survey; but also, to circulate the survey to others in the Darebin community– essentially, the more survey entries the better!

The Big Summer Read

Is taking place at Darebin Libraries these summer holidays!   The Big Summer Read aims to arrest the ‘summer slide’ by engaging children and their families in a fun and dynamic campaign through public libraries, supported with resources such as a user-friendly website, posters, reading logs and milestone incentives. A competitive element with statewide (book packs curated for different age ranges) and local prizes ($50 Readings vouchers and Family swim passes to Reservoir Leisure Centre) provides added incentive for participation. Distinctive state-wide branding encourages participation in the program, whether children are at home or on holidays elsewhere in Victoria.   The Big Summer Read runs from 

1 December 2024 until 31 January 2025.
