Student Retreat: Discovering Who I Am and Living Life to the Full
Our upcoming student retreat is an opportunity for students to step away from the busyness of everyday life, connect with others, and take some time to discover more about who they are and the person they are becoming.
Throughout the retreat, students will explore their unique worth and value, their strengths, values and sense of identity, and the important role that relationships and role models play in shaping who they become. Through a combination of music, games, activities, discussion and personal reflection, students will be encouraged to consider not only “Who am I?” but also “Who am I being for others?”
A key focus of the retreat is personal responsibility and accountability. Students will be challenged to recognise that the small choices they make each day can shape their character and influence those around them. They will explore the importance of surrounding themselves with people who build them up, standing by their values, and having the courage to make choices they can be proud of — even when those choices aren't always the easiest or most popular.
The retreat will also provide an opportunity for students to reflect on the words of Jesus in John 10:10: “I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full.” Together, they will consider what it means to live a life marked by purpose, freedom, joy and a deeper understanding of the life God invites each of us to live.
Students will have a modified timetable for the day. Students are to wear their House PE uniform and are required to bring their lunch and belongings to the Cyprian Pavilion by 8:35am.
Championing child safety across Australia, Day for Daniel is Australia’s largest national event dedicated to child safety education and awareness. It’s a day of action that promotes safer communities and empowers children to Recognise, React, and Report when they feel unsafe. On Thursday 22 October from 6:30pm – 7.30pm there will be a parent and carer information evening held. You are able to log into this discussion with Kirra Pendergast using the link below;
