SWPBS

The SWPBS focus for Weeks 5 & 6 of Term 4 is Care - I will care for other classes around me.

This includes:

-Students need to be aware of classes that are working near them.

-Students should be moving around the school safely and respectfully, talking quietly during class time.

Students need to be aware of the classes working nearby and understand that their movement and noise levels can impact the learning of others. When moving around the school, students are expected to do so safely, respectfully and silently (noise level: zero). This helps minimise disruptions, allows other classes to remain focused on their learning, and creates a calm and positive learning environment across the school.

At home, families can support this by:

-Reminding children to walk safely and calmly when moving through shared spaces.

-Encouraging children to use quiet voices and respect others who are working or concentrating, for example, a sibling doing homework or mum or dad working from home.

-Discussing how loud noises and unsafe behaviour can distract or impact others.

-Praising children when they demonstrate respectful behaviour, self-control and awareness of others.
