I hope that all of our families enjoyed a mid-term break over the Melbourne Cup long weekend.  As families would probably be aware, whilst the learning program continues in Term 4, it is also a term where we undertake assessments and reflections on the learning and growth of our students.  Our student free day on Monday was used by teachers to analyse the assessments the students are currently undertaking and commence report writing.  Reports will be published to parents on Monday 14th December.

Semester 2 Reports

In 2027, the Department of Education will bring in a new report format for primary schools.  In preparation, at Syndal South Primary School, Semester 2 reports will follow a slightly different format to in previous years.  We have worked to make the information provided in the report clearer and more succinct for parents. Families will receive progression points that outline each child’s learning progress, along with a short comment on their personal development and key learnings in English and Mathematics. We hope this approach gives you a clear, easy-to-read picture of how your child is progressing and their growth over the last 12 months.

Notification for 2027

Planning for 2027 is now well underway, including class structures and staffing. If your child will not be returning to Syndal South Primary School in 2027, please notify the school office in writing as soon as possible. This helps us plan accurately and ensures we can offer places to other families.
