Hardrock 

The year 9’s at the Booeegigat program spent the morning testing their balance, resilience and teamwork at Hardrock Climbing. The excursion gave everyone a chance to challenge themselves in a new environment and support their classmates along the way. After a short safety briefing, students got straight onto the walls. Some sprinted up their first climbs while others took a little longer to find their confidence, but every student made progress and pushed past their comfort zone. Belaying in pairs also meant they had to communicate clearly and trust one another, which added a valuable teamwork element to the day. The highlight for staff was watching each student challenge themself to climb and belay.
