Principal's Report
The past week has been a time of changes: the Year 12s have departed to study for their exams, new School Captains and House Leaders have stepped into their roles, and Year 9, 10 and 11 students are starting to revise for the end of the year exams.
On Monday last week our Year 12 students had a grand day. To start the day, they had their dress up day and final assembly. They behaved in an exemplary fashion and we thank them for their consideration of our community. In the evening, the students and their families attended Mass at St Gerard’s Dandenong. This was a beautiful way to come together to reflect on the end of schooling for the Year 12s, give thanks to God for these great young people and the fantastic contribution they have made to the College as we ask God’s blessing on them in the future. We then went to Alencia Receptions in Dandenong for the Graduation Dinner. Over 500 people were in attendance. We congratulate all the students who were presented with Awards during the evening. Last weekend we celebrated 40 Years of Nazareth College. The weekend began with the Showcase, which was spectacular. The amazing talents of our Technology, Visual Arts and Performing Arts students were on display for the evening. On the weekend, we began with the Staff and Student reunion. It was wonderful to see so many Nazarenes returning to visit. The day was topped off with the outstanding Gala Concert that featured past students and some current staff. This was a magnificent presentation of the musical abilities of our community.
VCE Examinations commenced on Tuesday 28 October. We wish the students all the luck with their exams!
