Metro Hero's Challenge

We are proud to celebrate an outstanding achievement by three of our St Joseph’s students: Cameron Faint, Connor Collyer, and Matilda Craig, who have been selected by Basketball New South Wales to represent the organisation in the 2026 U13 Country Katie-Rae Ebzery and Damien Martin Heroes Challenge.

The Heroes Challenges form an important part of Basketball NSW’s Athlete Pathways program. Designed to inspire and support emerging talent, these events bring together top-age U12 athletes who have been identified through the 2025 Metro, Northern, and Southern Jamborees. Participants have the opportunity to develop their skills through high-level training, competitive experiences, and mentorship from athletes who have progressed through the Australian basketball pathway.

With only 60 children selected from across Country NSW, this is an exceptional accomplishment. We congratulate Cameron, Connor, and Matilda on this remarkable honour and wish them every success as they take the next step in their basketball journey.

This term, students will be hitting the courts as we focus on netball for our school sport program. The sessions will be led by NSW Netball, giving students a great chance to learn from the best, develop their skills, and enjoy being active with their classmates.
