Mindfulness 

 

Here at St Louis we use mindfulness in a number of different activities including our Peaceful Kids Program,  classroom activities and with Frank in our garden sessions.  There is a lot of current research which highlights the benefits of using mindfulness including reduced anxiety, increased self-awareness, social awareness and self-confidence, greater emotional intelligence, compassion (to self and others) and prosocial behaviour and better resilience and coping with pain and life challenges.  Below is a fact sheet from BeYou about mindfulness.
