Dean Smith - Assistant Principal

Hi everyone,

My name is Dean and I’m heading into my third year at Wollert Primary. I’m passionate about supporting all students to be the best they can be—both academically and socially. You’ll often see me out in the playground, connecting with students and families.

Outside of school, I like to keep fit and attend sporting events. My daughter is getting old enough to take so I'm pulling her along to Melbourne Victory matches.

I’m here to support all families on their journey at Wollert, so please don’t hesitate to reach out to myself or the team if you have any questions or concerns.

Thanks

Callum MacKenzie - Leading Teacher

Hi everyone,

This is my second year at Wollert Primary and I really love it! In 2026, every day so far has left me feeling excited about the great teaching and learning going on in the spaces.

My role at the school is supporting the funding process for students and promoting positive behaviour. I love meeting the families that make up our school community. I look forward to meeting more of you in 2026 and working with students in class and out in the yard.

Outside of school, I like to garden (but I’m not good at it) and play table tennis (I’m not bad at it). I’ve got two young kids and learn lessons about parenting from every conversation I have with families. Always happy to have a chat about your student and their learning.

Thanks,

Callum

A reminder, Wollert PS breakfast club commences this Monday, 9th of February.

Our Breakfast Club continues to be a wonderful way to start the day for many of our students. Each morning, students are welcomed into a calm and friendly space where they can enjoy a healthy breakfast, connect with friends, and get ready for learning.

Breakfast Club supports student wellbeing by ensuring everyone has the fuel they need to focus, learn and thrive in the classroom. We are incredibly grateful to the staff and volunteers who give their time to make this program such a success.

If your child would benefit from attending Breakfast Club, they are always welcome.

Breakfast club will be open every morning from 8:30am
