Sustainability at SJV

Our first Garden Club activity was held this Tuesday 3rd Feb during lunch time.  We had lots of people helping in the garden today and the preps were helped by the middle and senior school students who were there too.  New gloves were given out…that took some time to put little fingers into the right spots.  After a tour of the compost…always interesting to see what pops up there…we moved to finding and eating some yummy tomatoes.  We then spent time digging the potato patch and we harvested a beautiful basket full.  Thank you to those parents who pop by the garden to help and pull out a few weeds.  It certainly was overgrown and we will soon be ready to plant some cooler climate crops.  Here are some photos of our time in the garden today.
