All students proudly represented Roselea Public School in both track and field events. A highlight of the day was the school relay, with both the boys’ and girls’ teams giving their all for each other and for Roselea.
A heartfelt thank you to Mr Andrew Chong, Miss Mulayne Lee and all the parents and carers who came along to support not only their own child but every Roselea athlete. Your encouragement and kind words helped make convening this event such a joyful experience.
Congratulations to Jude A and Leo V for qualifying for the Sydney North Athletics Championship. Jude achieved outstanding results, placing 1st in both the 11-year girls’ 200m and 800m finals and was also named age champion for the 11-year girls’ division. Leo performed brilliantly, placing 2nd in both the 1500m and 800m finals for the 8-year boys. We also celebrate Iliana T’s fantastic effort, placing 3rd in the Junior Girls’ Shot Put.
These are tremendous achievements. Well done, Roselea athletes!

The Stage 3 PSSA Netball season began with plenty of enthusiasm as our players took to the court for the first rounds. Early in the season, we developed our skills in passing cleanly, getting open for team mates and improving our defensive positioning. As the season progressed, it was great to see students develop in confidence and work together as a team.
As the weeks went on, the team built strong connections and improved their skills each game. Unfortunately, we were impacted by wet weather, which meant that several matches had to be cancelled. While this was disappointing, the players made the most of the opportunities they did have, showing persistence and a positive attitude throughout the season.
When we did get to play, the students demonstrated solid teamwork, strong effort, and great sportsmanship. Despite coming up against some very strong teams, they supported one another, adapted to different positions, and continued to grow in their understanding of the game. It was wonderful to see so many players embrace their leadership role within the team and be so supportive of their team mates.
Some key highlights from the season include a huge win for the girls against Epping Heights (24-6) and the boys scoring at the last second to tie their game against Epping Heights (9-9).
We are very proud of how the team represented Roselea this year and thank families and supporters for encouraging the players along the way. Despite the challenges, it was a valuable and enjoyable season for everyone involved.
