Reports & Interviews
At Peakhurst Public School, we offer three formal opportunities each year for parents and carers to receive feedback on their child's progress. These include parent-teacher interviews in Term 1, and written reports in Terms 2 and 4. Additional meetings can be arranged throughout the year as needed, either by the parent/carer or the school.
Semester 1 reports will be available for access through the Sentral Parent Portal starting Monday, 29 June.
Each report highlights your child's achievements and future learning goals in English and Mathematics, along with a general comment.
For mainstream students, Kindergarten reports focus on their effort levels. Students in Years 1 to 6 receive grades based on a five-point scale, where the grade SOUND indicates the student is meeting expected outcomes. Effort grades are also provided for each Key Learning Area.
Students in Inclusive Education Classes receive grades aligned with performance descriptors, alongside effort evaluations for each Key Learning Area.
If you would like to discuss your child’s progress further, you are welcome to request an interview with your child’s classroom teacher by speaking with them directly, emailing the school, or calling the office.
School Band
Last Friday, our students and staff from Years 3 to 6 enjoyed a special performance by our school band students. They showcased their skills and talent through two wonderful pieces, highlighting the incredible musical ability being nurtured within our school community.
If your child is interested in joining the school band, no previous experience is necessary. Please pick up a Band Expression of Interest Form from the office to get started.
Season 1 PSSA Finals
Congratulations to our Senior Newcombe Ball Team and Mrs Shing, along with both the Junior and Senior Girls OzTag Teams and Mr Kikilas, on an outstanding PSSA season and for qualifying to compete on Finals Day.
I had the privilege of watching the opening match for both the Junior and Senior Girls OzTag teams and was truly impressed by their strong team spirit and dedication. Both teams played with great enthusiasm and a determined ‘never give up’ attitude.
Representing Peakhurst Public School is always an honour, and it requires a high level of respect for the game, officials, opponents, and teammates. Our teams showcased these values proudly, representing our school community with distinction at the finals.
Kindergarten Enrolment 2027
Enrolments are open for Kindergarten 2027. Parents and carers can enrol for Kindergarten by visiting the office and collecting a hard copy of the enrolment form, printing a copy of the form and returning it to the school, or completing the online enrolment. All intake area enrolments will be required to provide 100 points of residential address, and Out of Area enrolments will be submitted to the Out of Area Enrolment Panel for consideration as per the DoE Enrolment Policy.
School tours will be available to book through our website later this term. Further information will be shared through Sentral Parent Portal.
