Creating calm, positive and predictable learning environments continues to be an important focus across our school, and we are pleased to see students developing strong routines and expectations together. As part of our whole-school approach to Positive Classroom Management Strategies (PCMS), guided by the Department of Education, we are currently focusing on students returning from breaks on time and lining up appropriately, ready for learning. Consistent routines help support smooth transitions back into the classroom and ensure students are settled and prepared to engage in their learning.
This focus also strongly connects to our school value of Respect. By returning promptly from breaks and lining up correctly, students are demonstrating respect for their learning, their peers and their teachers. These everyday routines also help students develop important life skills such as self-discipline, teamwork, responsibility and an understanding of the value of time. We thank families for their continued support in reinforcing these positive habits and routines at home.

Regular school attendance is essential for students’ learning, wellbeing, social development, and the establishment of positive routines. Every school day provides valuable opportunities for students to engage in classroom learning, build friendships, and participate fully in school life.
We ask families to please plan extended holidays during school holiday periods wherever possible to minimise disruption to student learning. Extended absences during term time can make it more difficult for students to keep up with classroom programs and maintain consistent routines.
As outlined in our school Attendance Policy, parents and carers are required to provide a reasonable explanation for any student absence and are encouraged to schedule family holidays, appointments, and other activities outside of school hours where possible.
We appreciate your continued support in prioritising regular attendance and helping all students have the best opportunity to succeed at school.
