Dear Holy Family Parents,

Sacrament of First Holy Communion

Over the past few months, a number of our students have been preparing to receive the Sacrament of First Holy Communion. This has been a special and meaningful journey of faith, as they have deepened their understanding of the Eucharist and what it means to be part of our parish community.

We are delighted to celebrate this important milestone with our students and their families and extend our sincere thanks to Maia Schultz, the parish team, and our dedicated parents who have supported the children throughout their preparation. Your guidance, commitment, and faith-filled example have helped make this journey a truly enriching experience.

We look forward to celebrating these special occasions together and witnessing our students receive the Eucharist for the first time. We keep them in our prayers as they continue to grow in their relationship with God.

Semester One Reports & Parent-Teacher Conferences 

Semester One reports are now available for parents. We encourage you to take the time to read through your child’s report and reflect on the progress they have made so far this year.

Parent-Teacher Conferences will be held in Week 10, providing an important opportunity to build on the information shared in the reports. These meetings are a valuable chance for parents and teachers to come together to discuss learning, celebrate achievements, and plan next steps to support each child’s continued growth and success. Attending these conferences ensures a shared understanding of your child’s progress and strengthens the partnership between home and school.

On Wednesday afternoon, 24 June, conferences will be held in MacKillop Hall.

We are incredibly proud of the growth our students have shown this semester—not only academically, but also in their confidence, independence, and willingness to challenge themselves. Their effort and commitment to learning have been commendable.

Students in Years 3 to 6 will be invited to participate in these Parent-Teacher-Student Conferences. Their involvement encourages them to take ownership of their learning, reflect on their achievements, and share their goals. We look forward to connecting with you during these important conversations and thank you for your ongoing support.

Graduate Program - Completing Year 6 at Holy Family 

At Holy Family School, our Graduate Program is designed to ensure that every student leaves Year 6 as a confident, capable, and compassionate young person, ready to embrace the next stage of their education. The program focuses on developing the whole child-academically, socially, emotionally, and spiritually- while nurturing a strong sense of responsibility and leadership.

One of the key advantages of remaining at Holy Family until the end of Year 6 is the opportunity for students to take on meaningful leadership roles within our school community. As the senior students, our Year 5 and 6 cohort become role models for younger students, leading by example in the classroom, on the playground, and during school events.

Opportunities such as school leadership positions, buddy programs, liturgical roles, and involvement in whole-school initiatives allow students to develop confidence, communication skills, and a strong sense of service to others. Our Graduate Program also provides targeted experiences that support a smooth transition to secondary school. Students are guided to become independent learners, critical thinkers, and resilient individuals who are prepared to manage new challenges. They are encouraged to reflect on their learning, set goals, and take ownership of their personal growth.

Remaining at Holy Family until the end of Year 6 allows students to fully benefit from these opportunities, strengthening friendships, deepening their connection to the school, and completing their primary years with a strong sense of achievement and belonging.

We are incredibly proud of our graduating students each year and the way they embody our school values as they move forward with confidence, faith, and a love of learning. We look forward to seeing you at the presentation as we celebrate their journey and achievements together.

Mercy Catholic College - Enrolment Deadline!

Did you know that Mercy Catholic College has updated its enrolment deadlines to align with CSBB?

Many families are unaware that applications close while students are still in Year 4.Applications for Year 7, 2029 will close on Wednesday 1 July.

Places are in high demand, with waitlists currently in place for 2027 and 2028 across all year groups. If you are considering Mercy Catholic College as a secondary school for your daughter, we encourage you to submit your application as soon as possible.
