What a fantastic year it has been in Auslan! Our Grade 4–6 students have wrapped up their final classes for 2025, and we couldn’t be prouder of their enthusiasm and growth.

Grades 4 and 5 successfully completed their Deaflympics competition, having a wonderful time exploring how sports can be made more accessible through adaptations such as coloured flags, lights, and hand signals. Their teamwork and positive energy were incredible to see!

Our Grade 6 students finished an in-depth research project on Deaflympians, learning about their achievements and the barriers they’ve overcome to compete at an elite level.

Meanwhile, our Grade 4 and Prep students have been hard at work learning Auslan versions of Christmas carols, which they will proudly perform at the End of Year Concert!

Finally, a big thank you to all students who participated in Auslan this year. It has been a joy to watch you learn, grow, and communicate with confidence. I look forward to seeing you continue to build your Auslan skills in 2026!
