National Simultaneous Reading Time

On Wednesday, 21st May 2025, our school proudly took part in National Simultaneous Storytime by reading The Truck Cat by Deborah Frenkel and Danny Snell. The story follows Tinka the cat and her owner Yacoub, a migrant truck driver, as they journey across Australia and explore themes of belonging, identity, and connection. 

As you can see from the photos, the students engaged in a range of follow-up activities including creative writing, art, and discussion, all designed to deepen their understanding of the book’s message around empathy, home, and resilience. This event fostered a strong sense of community and celebrated the power of shared storytelling.

Swimming with E5

Students in E5 had a fantastic time swimming at Northside Swimming Pool last week. They enjoyed learning new skills in the water, building confidence, and having fun with their classmates.

We had a lot of fun practising our kicking, blowing bubbles and playing in the water.
