Premier's Debating - Round 2

Another win for our Debaters!!!
Our student debaters competed and won the Premier’s Debating Challenge Round 2 against Harrington Street Public School last week, June 9. The topic was: Students should not use devices in the classroom, and our team proudly argued against this statement.
Our debaters presented strong and convincing arguments, highlighting the many benefits of Bring Your Own Device (BYOD) classes for all Stage 3 students at our school. They explained how technology supports learning, including the use of the Department of Education’s EduChat tool to assist students with research and learning tasks. The team also emphasised the importance of the use of devices for assessments such as NAPLAN and Check-in Assessments.
Overall, they argued that the best way to prepare students for the future is by embracing technology and using devices meaningfully and purposefully in the classroom today.
