What's Happening in PE!

Dear Parents and Carers,
It is hard to believe it is the last week of Term 1. We have had many events already this term...
- The Year 3-6’s have had swimming trials and District and Division swimming.
- Cross country training has been running every Thursday in preparation for Cross Country on 11th May at Bald Hill Park.
- Preps have been learning how to find their own space, listen to music and move in various directions, bounce throw and catch tennis balls, smaller balls and catch-its, play new games and work together as a group.
- The Year 1/2 students have been doing movement to music, bounce, throw and catch tennis balls, small balls and catch-its and learning how to run using arms, legs, elbows and eyes correctly.
- The Year 3/4 students have been learning basketball skills and drills, how to correctly use gloves, bases and bats in the game of T/Ball.
- The Year 5/6 students have been refreshing their skills of Basketball, Loaded softball and Kanga Cricket in preparation for Gala Day which was on 20th March.
- All students in Year 1-6 were lucky enough to participate in a Hockey Roadshow given by Waverley Hockey Club. We had two great coaches showing the students the basic skills of Hockey.
I wish you all a very Blessed and Happy Easter and look forward to teaching your wonderful children next term.
Yours in Sport,
Sue Tobin.
