Goodooga Games
Six students from Uralla Central travelled to Goodooga on Wednesday 5 August to participate in the Goodooga Indigenous Games. It was a very long journey to and from Goodooga.
The games were held on Thursday 6 August. Our students were part of the 600 + students who arrived in the small town for the games. They were in teams with other participating schools, had a great time at the games and enjoyed this experience.
Students also had access to a range of government and non-government services supporting the community and engaging with students.
A set of Clap sticks were presented to each participating school.
It was a busy time, but our students embraced it all.
Thanks to Armidale Secondary College for supporting us in travelling to Goodooga.
Under 15's Netball CHS Knockout
Our Under 15s Netball team recently travelled to Armidale Secondary College to compete in the CHS Knockout competition. The team played four games throughout the day, with some mixed results and plenty of competitive netball.
Unfortunately, the team did not progress to the next stage of the competition. However, the players represented themselves and Uralla Central School with great pride, both on and off the court. Their positive attitude, sportsmanship and teamwork were a credit to the school.
A special thank you to Brydie Williams for accompanying the team and supporting the day as an umpire. We greatly appreciate her time and assistance.
Well done to all members of the team on a fantastic effort!
