Year 8 Boys Volleyball Team

The Year 8 Boys Volleyball Team competed in 'The Maribyrnong Championships' at Maribyrnong Sports Academy on Sunday 15th of October 2023. They played 2 matches in their pool winning against Heidelberg and losing to MSA (Maribyrnong Sports Academy), placing second overall in the pool. The Year 8 Boys would go on to beat Riddles Creek in the quarter-finals. They would face WRV (Western Region Volleyball) in the semi-finals and win this match, reaching the grand finals and facing off with MSA once again. The team put on a great effort but they could not overcome MSA. The Year 8 Boys would finish as Runners Up. We could not be more proud of Levi, Lucas, Jackson, James, Charlie, Thomas, Kayden, Noah, and Max.

A big thank you to Nicholas Krslovic (graduating class of 2022) and Christina Stasey for helping with the coaching and umpiring during the tournament. Also, we appreciate all the support from the parents and other students who came to cheer on our Year 8 Boys.

Next up on the calendar: Year 7 Girls Volleyball Team will compete on Thursday 2nd of November 2023 in 'The Western Metropolitan Region Volleyball Finals' at Leisuretime Geelong. The Year 8 Girls and Boys Volleyball Team will also compete in 'The Western Metropolitan Region Volleyball Finals' on Friday 3rd of November 2023.
