Parents' Association and PAL organised events

Parent Sundowner
Thank you to all the parents who attended our Sundowner event on the weekend. It was a wonderful evening filled with great conversation, delicious food and a fantastic DJ who kept the tunes pumping throughout the night. It was great to see parents connecting, relaxing and enjoying time together.
A special thank you goes to Lisa Martella, Ric Del Pizzo, and the many College staff who helped bring the event to life. Their behind-the-scenes support ensured the evening ran smoothly and created a welcoming space for our community to come together.
We also acknowledge and thank all parents whose contributions help fund events like the Sundowner. Your support allows us to continue hosting opportunities for families to connect and strengthen the sense of community that makes John XXIII College so special.
Invitation to Join the 2027 Committee
The Parents’ Association plays an important role in strengthening the partnership between families and John XXIII College. Each year, our committee works alongside College leadership to support projects, initiatives and experiences that enrich student life and help build a connected, welcoming community.
As we look ahead to the coming year, we warmly invite parents and guardians to consider joining the Parents’ Association Committee for 2027. Serving on the committee is a meaningful way to contribute to the College, share your ideas, and help shape initiatives that directly benefit students across Primary and Secondary.
The committee meets twice a term, with each meeting offering updates from the College, opportunities to discuss new proposals, and a chance to collaborate with other parent groups.
For 2027 we are looking to fill the following roles:
- Roncalli (coordinating our Roncalli meals program)
- Fathering Project (working within the Inspire team to deliver parent education)
- General Committee Members
If you are curious, have questions, or would like to express interest, we encourage you to reach out. Joining the committee is a wonderful way to connect with other families, learn more about the College, and make a positive impact on the student experience.
You can contact us via email: parentsassociation@johnxxiii.edu.au.
We look forward to welcoming new members and continuing our work together in 2027.
Funding Proposals
As we head into Term 4, we continue to encourage families to share any other ideas they may have for how we can positively contribute to students’ learning and school experience.
If you have any suggestions, please do not hesitate to contact us: parentsassociation@johnxxiii.edu.au.
The Funding Proposal form is available here.
To qualify for consideration at the upcoming Term meeting, submit proposals by 5pm on Friday, 23 October.
