News from our Principal

Dear Parents and Carers,
This term has been filled with learning, growth, and many memorable moments. From classroom achievements to community events, it’s been heartening to see our students thrive and our school spirit shine.
Last week you were able to access your child’s half yearly progress report for Semester 1. I’m sure your parent teacher interviews this week have provided the opportunity to affirm your child’s efforts, progress and achievements and to also provide a clear direction on how they can improve in Semester 2. You should be proud of your children and the commitment and enthusiasm they are displaying in their learning.
The students at OLF are curious learners who are willing to take risks, have a go, not give up when faced with a challenge and are showing resilience and stamina in many aspects of their learning! After reading every report I am impressed with how well the teachers know their students. Their professionalism and commitment has ensured that the students have had many enriching opportunities to thrive and flourish in their learning. Thank you for your support as it is the partnership between school and home that achieves the very best outcomes for our students.
As we head into the winter break, I encourage everyone to take time to rest, recharge, and enjoy the simple joys of the season. Whether you're travelling, spending time with loved ones, or simply enjoying a slower pace, may your holidays be safe, warm, and filled with peace.
