At Devonport Christian School, we are building more than classrooms — we are building a Christ-centred legacy for future generations.
This year has been another exciting season of growth for our school community, including the commencement of our very first Year 10 cohort as part of our expanding Secondary School program.
To support this growth, construction has been underway over the past 12 months on a range of modern learning spaces designed to foster creativity, learning, collaboration, and wellbeing. We are now nearing completion of our most significant building project to date, the new Year 9/10 Centre.
This $6.8 million development includes:

With the finishing touches now being applied, we look forward to welcoming students into these outstanding new facilities.
Approximately 90% of the project has been funded internally and through bank finance, with the remaining 10% supported through Government capital grants. We are deeply grateful for God’s provision and faithfulness, and for the generosity of our community through past contributions to our Building Fund.
If members of our community would like to further financially support this important project, there is still an opportunity to contribute.
We warmly invite you to make a donation to the Devonport Christian School Building Fund. Every gift, regardless of size, will help support the continued development of facilities that will benefit current and future generations of students.
All donations are tax-deductible, and contributions made before 30 June 2026 may be included in your 2025–2026 tax return.

DCS Enrolments 2026-2030: What a joy it is to see the DCS community flourishing!
God continues to bless our school with strong interest from families seeking a Christ-centred education and we’re humbled to be receiving enrolment enquiries all the way through to 2030!
As we begin welcoming new enrolments into our growing DCS family, if you know of any family, friends, or community members who may be looking for a Christ-centred, nurturing school community like DCS, we warmly invite you to connect with our Enrolments Team via email (enrolments@dcs.tas.edu.au) and communicate with us about the family you are connected with, or reach out directly to our Principal, Chad Smit. As we look at the possibility of spaces opening up and adding extra classes in some year levels, we would be delighted to walk alongside them when opportunities open for new enrolments.
If you are already part of our DCS family and have younger children due to start in 2027, 2028, 2029 or beyond (or siblings for other levels including secondary), we would love to hear from you. We have already begun processing 2027 enrolments, and we want to make sure our current families are well-supported and prioritised during this exciting season of growth.
If you have not yet completed an Enrolment Enquiry form, please go to our school website https://www.dcs.tas.edu.au/enrolments/ and click on the enrolment enquiry button to complete an enquiry form.
If you are unsure whether you have submitted an enquiry, please don’t hesitate to reach out at enrolments@dcs.tas.edu.au and we will check for you. We are here to help and we value journeying alongside you as parents in faith and learning.
