News and Information from Primary
Each week at assembly, we regularly practise learning a Bible verse together. This term, however, we are going to try something a little different by working towards learning an entire chapter over the course of the term. Throughout Term 2, Primary will be focusing on Psalm 121 during our Monday and Friday Assemblies. This beautiful chapter reminds us of God’s constant care, protection, and presence in our lives—truths that are deeply encouraging for our students to carry with them each day.
To help students engage meaningfully with the passage, we will be learning Psalm 121 in small sections every 2–3 weeks. By the end of the term, students will have learned and possibly memorised the entire chapter, building both confidence and a deeper understanding of God’s Word.
We encourage families to join us in this journey! Learning these verses together at home can be a wonderful way to reinforce what students are discovering at school and to nurture faith conversations as a family.
| Week 1, 2, 3 | I lift up my eyes to the mountains— where does my help come from? My help comes from the Lord, the Maker of heaven and earth. Psalm 121:1-2 |
| Week 4, 5, 6 | He will not let your foot slip— he who watches over you will not slumber; indeed, he who watches over Israel will neither slumber nor sleep. Psalm 121:3-4 |
| Week 7, 8 | The Lord watches over you— the Lord is your shade at your right hand; the sun will not harm you by day, nor the moon by night. Psalm 121:5-6 |
| Week 9, 10 | The Lord will keep you from all harm— he will watch over your life; the Lord will watch over your coming and going both now and forevermore. Psalm 121:7-8 |
