Careers

This Term 2, students have continued to participate in their work placements and transition pathway programs, demonstrating enthusiasm, commitment, and a willingness to learn. They are actively engaging in experiences that build their independence, develop workplace skills, and prepare them for successful post-school pathways.

The programs our students are currently attending include:

  • Music Space – Cloverdale Community
  • Make & Bake – Geelong Trade Centre
  • Wright of Passage – Western Beach Boat Yard
  • No Limits – Geelong

In addition to these wonderful opportunities, our HVS Pathways Expo was a great success this term. We welcomed 10 local providers who showcased the supports and services they offer to assist our students and their families in planning for both pre- and post-school pathways.

Be sure to check out the video from this year's expo. We look forward to continuing to support our students as they explore their future pathways and opportunities.

Finally, our wonderful NDIS Navigator, Catherine Price, organised two Post School Pathway Tours during Weeks 6 & 7. Families from across our network schools attended these sessions and found them to be both valuable and informative.

The tours provided families with the opportunity to visit and speak with a range of service providers across Geelong, helping them explore which supports and programs may be the best fit for their child as they transition from school. We would like to sincerely thank all of the parents and carers who attended and contributed to the success of these tours.
