Meadowbank Persuaders Debating Team declared Zone Champions in Premier’s Debating Challenge
On Tuesday 11 August, the Meadowbank Persuaders Debating Team competed in the fourth round of the Premier’s Debating Challenge, against West Ryde Public School.
The topic for the debate was "That primary schools should start each day with a 30-minute exercise class." Meadowbank Persuaders argued passionately that incorporating daily exercise routines would foster healthy habits among students and enhance their ability to concentrate during lessons.
The Meadowbank Persuaders presented compelling evidence and articulately countered West Ryde’s arguments, demonstrating not only their debating prowess but also a deep understanding of the benefits of physical activity in schools. Their confident and persuasive delivery impressed the adjudicator, securing a decisive victory for Meadowbank.
Congratulations to Claire, Thea, Josie, Gemma, Layan and Shine on this outstanding achievement. The Meadowbank Persuaders have made their school community proud, and we look forward to seeing their talents continue to shine in round 1 of the regional knock-out competition against Manly West Public School!
