Message from the Principal

Cecilia Parada

Dear families

Although NSW Public Education Week was officially last week, we are excited to continue celebrating the outstanding achievements and efforts of our students across a variety of areas.

Debating

Our Premier's Debating Challenge team, The Persuaders, is currently leading the zone leaderboard with an impressive record of 3 wins and just 1 loss. Their fantastic performance has earned them a place in the knockout finals. Congratulations to the team for their hard work, skill, and teamwork.

Art Group

Once again, our talented Art group has had their artwork selected for the prestigious Ryde SWAP Art exhibition. This is a testament not only to the creativity and dedication of our students but also to the expert guidance and support provided by Mrs Tortura. We are so proud to have our work showcased alongside other outstanding artists in the community.

Public Speaking

We are also thrilled to share that Gemma from Year 6 will be travelling to Parliament House to represent our school as the successful student in the Jordan Lane MP public speaking competition. Gemma will be speaking on the floor of the Legislative Assembly of the NSW Parliament. This is a wonderful opportunity for her to develop her skills and make us proud on a bigger stage. Gemma auditioned along with other students on the topic: “What’s a challenge facing young people today, and how can the government solve it?” Well done, Gemma!

Positive Behaviour for Learning

This week, I’m especially looking forward to the Principal’s Morning Tea, where we will celebrate with students and their families the achievement of receiving 5 Principal Awards. These awards recognise students who consistently demonstrate the qualities of safe, respectful learners - a wonderful standard to aspire to.

P&C Meeting – TONIGHT

Finally, a reminder that our next P&C Meeting is tonight.

Everyone is welcome to join us either here at school or remotely via Teams. It’s a great opportunity to connect, share ideas, and contribute to our school community.
