CELEBRATING OUR FAITH

Religious Education: Growing Together in God’s Family
In our K-2 classrooms this term, students have been exploring a beautiful and foundational theme in their Religious Education journey: God’s Family.
Through rich discussions, stories, artwork, and shared experiences, our youngest learners have been discovering what it means to belong.
They have been exploring how each of us is uniquely created, loved, and called to be a part of God’s great family starting with our homes, expanding into our school community, and reaching out to the wider world. It has been wonderful to witness their growing understanding of kindness, care, and how we can show God's love to one another every day.
Family Talking Points
To help continue these meaningful conversations at home, here are a few questions you might like to explore around the dinner table or on the way to school:
What makes you feel special and loved in our family?
How can we show kindness and care to someone outside our family this week, just as God asks us to?
What is one way you can be a helpful and loving member of our school community?
Small Hands, Big Hearts: Student Service in Action
We are so proud to see our primary students taking the initiative to make our school a better place! Over the past few weeks, our young leaders have been spotting needs around the school and stepping up to help through wonderful acts of service.
From organising playground clean-ups and helping younger students at lunch to caring for our school resources, these student-led actions show true empathy and community spirit.
Why Student-Led Service Matters
Building Leadership & Initiative: Seeing a need and taking action teaches students that they don't have to wait for an adult to make a positive change.
Fostering Responsibility & Pride: Taking care of shared spaces builds a deeper sense of ownership and pride in our school environment.
Strengthening Our Community: Simple acts of kindness create a domino effect, encouraging others to lend a helping hand.
How You Can Support at Home
Ask your child this week if they’ve noticed any small ways they can help out at school or home. Celebrating these small acts of kindness reinforces that no effort is too small to make a big difference!
A Prayer for Our Families
Loving God,
Thank you for the gift of our families and our school community.
Bless each home with your peace, patience, and joy.
Help us to remember that we are all part of your wonderful family, called to love and support one another in all we do.
Guide our students as they grow in faith and kindness.
Amen.
