Our Spotlight Winners for the Week - 

This week - Behaviour Spotlight 

Using your breaktimes wisely means stepping away from screens and schoolwork to truly recharge your mind and body. During snack and lunch, you should focus on fueling yourself with nutritious food and staying hydrated so you have the energy to power through the rest of the day. It is also the perfect opportunity to move around, stretch, and socialise with friends, which helps build a positive community. By actively resting and connecting with others, you return to the classroom feeling refreshed, focused, and ready to learn.

Kindy Transition 

The Kindy children for 2027 recently visited Holy Family on Monday and Friday to experience "big school" for the first time. The transition visits allowed the upcoming students to explore the classrooms, meet their future teachers, and familiarise themselves with the school grounds. Engaging in fun classroom activities and playing on the playground helped the children build confidence and ease any pre-school nerves. This exciting milestone marked the official beginning of their educational journey, leaving the future students eager and ready for the year ahead.

Cluster Athletics Carnival 

The cluster athletics carnival is the next big sports day where the fastest runners and best jumpers from different schools all compete against each other. Because you did so well at our school carnival, you now get to test your skills against top athletes from nearby schools. Everyone will try their hardest in races, high jump, long jump, and throwing events to see who can make it to the next regional round. It is a big step up, a lot of fun, and a proud moment to wear our school colours and show everyone how well we compete

Tech Time Tales

Hello Holy Family! 

In Seniors with Mrs Hooke, we are building a solar system on Minecraft Education. This is a very special opportunity that not all schools are as privileged to have. Our Year 5 & 6 students are having fun all while learning things like basic coding knowledge, creativity, problem solving, spatial reasoning and learning about the solar system. We are also learning about our solar system and how our planets orbit the sun via gravitational pull and centripetal force. 

First, we had to download the Minecraft application directly from the website. We ran into a few troubleshooting issues, but eventually everybody was beginning to build our virtual solar system model out of different blocks. Now that they are on their way to more Learning, Fun, and Coding.

Public Speaking Finals

On Wednesday, our school came together for our big public speaking finals. The whole event was super exciting and showed how hard our student finalists have been working. Every single speaker got up on stage and did an amazing job talking in front of everyone. They spoke really clearly, shared awesome stories, and showed a ton of bravery. It was so cool to watch them, and the whole audience was listening carefully and cheering them on. We want to say a massive congratulations to all of our awesome speakers for trying their absolute best and doing such a fantastic job!

Word Of The Week

Being responsible means taking care of your duties and doing what is expected of you every single day. It means showing up on time, bringing the right gear, and always trying your hardest with your schoolwork. When you make a mistake, being responsible means owning up to it instead of blaming someone else. It also means looking out for others, following the school rules, and making smart choices even when no one is watching. By taking responsibility for your own actions, you earn the trust of your teachers and friends, which helps make our school a great place for everyone.
