Senior Boys Basketball

Recently, our Senior Boys Basketball team headed to Selkirk Stadium to compete in the Eureka tournament. Facing some strong opposition from Ballarat High, Phoenix, Mount Clear and Mount Rowan, the goal for the day was to have fun. This was evident by some of the wild shots that were taken, with a few even managing to go in! 

Bailey M and Seth A made some great passes, while Aiden B was a brick wall in defence. Meanwhile, Kody M landed a nice three-pointer, and Baxter W delivered in the skills department, driving to the basket with ease.

Our final game, against Ballarat High, saw a deep three clinic by Javiar Drinkwater, which resulted in him hitting multiple near half-court shots, as he led the boys to our best result of the day, against the eventual winners.

It was a huge effort by the boys, showing up to the tournament with a positive mindset, despite knowing they were up against extremely strong opposition. All teams had players who could dunk and we even came up against a few Ballarat Miners players.
