Middle School News

Upper Primary (Years 5-6)

The 5/6 cohort has had a busy few weeks with weekly swimming and a 3-day camp to Lady Northcote in Glenmore.  We had 33 students attend the camp and experienced lots of different outdoor activities: canoeing, raft making, yabbying, initiative games, orienteering and a variety of smaller activities like rock painting, camp activity books and puzzles.  Students and staff returned to school happy and exhausted.

Lower Secondary (Years 7-8)

Lower Secondary students have been busy over the past few weeks with the World of Work program, creating business ideas for the upcoming Winter Fete in week 6. They've developed creative business names, logos, and products, with class 7/8C going the extra mile by cooking and serving food to staff during recess.

In the Travel Education program, students split into three groups to explore vibrant locations in one day, including community walks, Watergardens Shopping Centre, and Footscray Market. They practiced pedestrian skills and safety, all while building excitement for the upcoming CYC City Camp next week—what a fantastic opportunity to learn and explore!
