Basketball

Congratulations to all of our teams who have made the finals. Our 5/6 Scorpions team are straight through to the Grand Final. Good luck to the Pythons, Panthers and Tigers who all have a chance to make the grand final this week. 

 

**Please note that the 5/6 Tigers game has been moved to next Thursday due to the school excursion. 

 

Term 4 Sport

This term the students will be completing an AFL program. Thank you to Khobi Devine from North West AFL for providing our students with this opportunity. 

Meet three of our Armidale Diocesan Representatives for 2023 

Alistair Moore

Alistair is in Year 6 at St Joseph's Primary School and is a well-rounded young sportsman.

 

Alistair has represented the School in Athletics and Basketball. He also gained selection in the Armidale Diocesan Basketball Team that took part in the Polding Basketball Trials held in Lismore.

 

When asked what sport Alistair enjoys the most he answered, definitely basketball. 

 

Alistair's advice to other sporting achievers is to continue to train as hard as you can. 

 

Alistair's sporting hero that he looks up to is Steph Curry because he is the best 3-point shooter in the world.

Carter Moore

Carter is in Year 6 at St Joseph's Primary School and is a well-rounded young sportsman.

 

Carter has represented the School in Basketball and Rugby League. He also gained selection in the Armidale Diocesan Basketball Team that took part in the Polding Basketball Trials held in Lismore.

 

When asked what sport Carter enjoys the most he answered 100% basketball.

 

Carter's advice to other sporting achievers is to continue to work on all aspects of your game, even if you aren't good at it. You'll get there!

 

Carter's sporting hero that he looks up to is Kobe Bryant. I love this quote from him, "Don't rest in the middle, rest at the end!"

Kai Parker

Kai is in Year 6 at St Joseph's Primary School and is a well-rounded young sportsman.

 

Kai has represented the School in Basketball and Soccer. He also gained selection in the Armidale Diocesan Basketball Team that took part in the Polding Basketball Trials held in Lismore.

 

When asked what sport Kai enjoys the most he answered basketball without a doubt.

 

Kai's advice to other sporting achievers is to work hard and never give up. 

 

Kai's sporting hero that he looks up to is Steph Curry because he shows great sportsmanship and is a clutch shooter.
