Ganesh Festival

In September Ballarat High School hosted the 2023 Ballarat Hindu Temple Cultural Centre’s Ganesh Festival. 

Approximately 6,000 people visited the school across the three days to learn and experience Hindu culture and celebrate Ganesh. 

A temple and performance stage were built in the school double gym and a cultural art display was in the single gym. In the back car park, we had a carnival with lots of rides for all the family. 

There were many activities across the three days, but one of the many highlights of the event was the Fireworks Display on the Friday night. The seven-minute display lit up the night sky above the back oval and attracted a large crowd. 

This was the first time Ballarat High School hosted such a large event. We would like to thank the committee and many volunteers from the Ballarat Hindu Temple Cultural Centre, it was a pleasure to host your event.
