Wellbeing Update
Welcome back to a brand new school year at Lara Secondary College!
On behalf of the Wellbeing Team, we would like to warmly welcome all students and families to what promises to be an exciting and positive year ahead. We hope everyone has had a restful break and is feeling ready for the opportunities and experiences that a new school year brings.
Starting a new year can bring a mix of emotions of excitement, nerves, motivation, and sometimes uncertainty. Please remember that support is always available.
Our Wellbeing Team is here to help students feel safe, connected and confident at school. Whether it’s support with friendships, learning challenges, personal goals, or simply having someone to talk to, we are here to listen and assist.
We’re pleased to share that Breakfast Club will continue to run every Wednesday morning in the Wellbeing Space. Breakfast Club is a wonderful opportunity for students to enjoy a healthy start to the day, connect with peers and staff in a relaxed environment, and build positive relationships within our school community. All students are welcome, and we would love to see you there!
Throughout the year, we have a range of engaging wellbeing programs planned to support our students’ social, emotional and mental health. These programs will focus on building resilience, strengthening positive relationships, developing coping strategies, and promoting overall wellbeing. We look forward to working with students across all year levels to help them thrive both inside and outside the classroom.
We value the important partnership between school and home, and we encourage parents and carers to reach out if you have any questions or concerns about your child’s wellbeing. Together, we can ensure every student at Lara Secondary College feels supported and empowered to achieve their best.
Here’s to a positive and successful year ahead!
Warm regards,
The Wellbeing Team
