Do Your Best ~ Help Others Succeed ~ Respect Our School

Current Focus:

Speaking Kindly Using Right Words

Whilst a general principle, this is especially important in our multicultural and multifaith school community. There is much diversity within the St Mel's Primary School Community and we celebrate the differences and similarities.

In coming weeks as we approach Harmony Day our children and teachers will be focussing on being Respectful of All People and exploring the concept of RACISM.

RACISM is the discrimination, oppression or unequal treatment of individuals based on their race, ethnicity, or origin.

We are called to call out and condemn racism in all forms. This has particularly been on the National agenda following tragic incidents.

When we...

DO OUR BEST

HELP OTHERS SUCCEED

RESPECT OUR SCHOOL

... we are challenging racist attitudes and racism within our school, our community, our country and our world!

One Voice

Be Your Best

Help Others Succeed

Respect Our School

KEEP DOING WHAT I AM DOING

MOVE AWAY!

ASK SOMEONE FOR HELP!

Leave NO Trace

Please continue to reinforce these concepts with your children at home. A team approach is always best.
